This is a genuine US military surplus MOLLE II Medium Rucksack in the ACU Digital camouflage pattern. The Medium Rucksack was designed to fill a gap between the Assault Pack, which was often too small, and the Large Rucksack, which was often too large for 2-3 day missions.

The Medium Rucksack has numerous internal and external compartments, allowing you to organize your gear. There are two large external zippered compartments on the front of the pack that each have pockets inside as well as a plastic D-ring hook. There is a large internal pocket along back of pack to support a hydration system. The main compartment has a harness assembly to support the Advanced System Improvement Program (ASIP) Radio. There are two internal pockets sized for 60mm mortar rounds.

The Medium Rucksack has a top carrying handle with two side release attachment straps which allow you attach additional equipment externally to the pack. There are three hook-and-loop ports designed to allow you to route hydration tubes, antennas, etc. from inside the main compartment. There is also an abundance of MOLLE/PALS webbing on the outside of the pack for attaching additional pouches, such as the sustainment pouches on the sides of the pack, for expanded storage volume.
